others, finally solves [3]one of the biggest mysteries in astrophysics.
Previous calculations have only estimated the effect of reflections. A
computer modeling technique called Phong shading was used to work out

direction it ends up traveling. Taking into account the reflections on
the antenna seem to make the anomaly disappear."

RedEaredSlider writes "Like many device manufacturers, Apple cannot seem
to escape supply concerns in the wake of the ongoing crisis in Japan. The
company is [0]hoping that AU Optronics will fill the void left by
companies like Hitachi and Toshiba, both of which have been affected by
the series of disasters that have rocked Japan. Damage to many factories
from the earthquake and an ongoing nuclear disaster has disrupted supply
chains and caused large slowdowns in production of vital electronic
components."

cygtoad writes "Today marks [0]Robert Bunsen's 200th birthday. I found
this interesting factoid on the man: 'Bunsen and Desaga [1]did not apply
for patent protection on their burner and it was quite soon that others
began to produce their own versions. Some even went so far as to claim
the invention as their own, including one person who was granted a patent
on the device. Both Bunsen and Desaga were involved in writing letters to
the proper authorities to refute these claims.' Does anyone have an older
example of such an open information pioneer? In my book he deserves some
honor." Benjamin Franklin famously chose not to patent the design of
[2]the stove that bears his name, too; you can [3]read all about it.

design, creation, history, and play of computer and video games. [2]The
museum is currently [3]raising funds and shopping around for a San

including the only copy in existence of 1984's never-released Atari
Cabbage Patch Kids game. As a scholarly resource, the museum is also
dedicated to making its entire collection playable by visitors."

the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), one of the oldest, largest, and most

findings about the Jerusalem UFO. Yes, even [1]MUFON has concluded it was
